THE CDEC

The Corporation de développement économique communautaire (CDEC) Rosemont–Petite-Patrie
was created in 1990 by local players dedicated to forming an economic and social development tool designed to meet both the needs of the people and economic development imperatives.

An independent, non-profit organization, the CDEC brings together the major players involved in the economic and social development of the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie: residents, community organizations, unions, public institutions, business people and municipal community representatives.

In a spirit uniting economic, social, employment and manpower development, it supports local initiatives and recommends projects that are beneficial to local economic development. The work of the CDEC is based on a philosophy of development by the community, for the community. Joint action and partnership are therefore at the heart of its activities.

As a Centre local de développement de Rosemont-Petite-Patrie, the CDEC offers consulting services and manages various funds dedicated to entrepreneurs, new or expanding, both from the private sector and the social economy.
